Grayce solves the full range of modern global care challenges – from daily needs (e.g., parents needing childcare) to complex care (e.g., employees caring for a loved one with cancer), achieving industry-leading engagement, interventions, and savings.
Grayce falls under our Caregiver Support, EAP (Employee Assistance Programs) and Family Health Partner Marketplace categories. Grayce helps employee families navigate and resolve care challenges when they need it most.
We are excited to announce Grayce as our Partner of the Week, where we highlight one of our unique PlanSource Marketplace Partners and the value they bring to the benefits industry. We recently sat down to discuss their unique employee benefits and how they support family health and caregiver support within the benefits industry.
What makes your company unique in the benefits space – what key benefits do you provide to employees?
Grayce solves care challenges for modern families. Through a combination of rich and personalized technology and dedicated one-on-one concierge support, they address the root causes that impact caregiver well-being and productivity—the emotional stress and relationship duress, the uncertainty (what to do, where to turn) and the time intensity of the role. Grayce provides emotional support, expert guidance, and direct assistance for caregivers of children, adults, and elders—anywhere in the world.
Whether your employees are beginning to consider how to ease the difficulties of caregiving, are dealing with a crisis, or facing chronic or complex illnesses—Grayce Care Partners are there with the right support at the right time. They listen. They create a care plan. They take action. They do the work, so that employees can remain at work and focused on their jobs.
Employers may not be fully aware of the cost of lost productivity, increased absenteeism and employee turnover that is the direct result of employees caring for family members. By relieving the burden of caregiving for employees, Grayce adds value for recruitment, retention, productivity and ROI. Results of a global survey of employees who used Grayce services showed that because of Grayce:
- 85% would be more likely to stay longer at their employer
- 77% would be more likely to recommend their employer
- 70% would be more likely to take a job with that employer.
- 54% of respondents said Grayce reduced the need to leave their job, take leave or scale back hours.
To further demonstrate their value, Grayce analyzed data for 18,475 employees for one year. Results of the analysis showed that by saving employees time (from one day to four work weeks) and reducing turnover (by 38%), they can demonstrate an ROI of 6:1. Employers can use their Economic Impact Modeler to apply this methodology to their own employee data and projected real-life savings.
Employee family care is one of the costliest and most complex issues in workforce management today. As many as 75% of employees are taking care of a child, parent, sibling or spouse, and 80% report stress, being distracted at work or needing to take time off. The impact of this stress increases medical costs for the caregiver (8%), resulting from hypertension (82% prevalence), anxiety (60%) and depression (64%).
Grayce is the only family care solution that integrates medical, mental, social, legal and financial approaches to resolve care challenges. As we all know and statistics show, stress, isolation and financial worries affect our physical health. Grayce Care Partners–who hold master’s degrees in relevant fields such as social work, psychology, occupational health–consider all aspects of the caregiver’s situation, including the caregiver’s own health. They come from leading health care organizations, where they had experience managing both patient and caregiver needs, and they have been caregivers in their personal lives. Care Partners are trained to anticipate needs and plan for the long-term. That and their empathy for the caregiver in the moment deliver a soft touch with a powerful impact.
