Special Offer for all PlanSource Customers: Free Text Messaging Tool

Employees are being bombarded with news right now, and they need accurate, timely information from their employer to stay informed as our situation changes by the day. Whether it’s about office or plant closures, work schedules, safety protocols, or just reminders about critically important benefits that they have access to, HR teams need to be sure that they’re getting the message across to the right people at the right time.

In an effort to provide support to our customers during this difficult time, PlanSource is enabling access to our text messaging tool free of charge for all new or existing customers from now through the end of 2020.

Text messages are a great way to ensure employees stay informed – they have an open rate of up to 90%, compared to less than 10% for traditional email campaigns.

PlanSource’s employee communication tool allows HR managers to:

  • Send targeted text messages to employees, right from within the benefits system
  • Customize messaging and recipient lists based on role, benefits enrollment, or any other data within the system
  • Test, schedule and track results of your communication campaigns

Here’s How the Offer Works

We will turn the texting feature on for all PlanSource customers on Friday, April 24 – if you don’t want to use it you don’t have to, but it will be available in case you do. 

PlanSource will cover the fees for each customer for up to ten text campaigns per month, or up to 100,000 text messages. If these limitations create particular hardship for your organization, we will be happy to discuss additional options on a case-by-case basis.

How Can Employees Opt In to the Service?

In order for your employees to receive text messaging campaigns, they’ll have to give you permission to text their cell phones by opting in to the service first. 

Step 1: Ensure that you have all employee cell phone numbers on file within the PlanSource system on the employee profile. If you’re collecting cell phone numbers in a different system, you can upload them to PlanSource. This step is required before the opt-in will work!

Step 2: Employees can opt-in by texting a keyword (START, BENEFITS or BENEFIT) to 46659. Once they’ve opted in, you are all set to start your text campaigns!
