Mercer | The Source: John Coleman

On The Source, we had the chance to interview John Coleman, Senior Principal at Mercer. He has been a part of their team for 14 years where he has helped clients make informed decisions as it relates to their health and wellfare strategies. Within the past 10 years, John has transitioned to help those clients stay aware of the point solutions available to them in the marketplace.

John saw a gap in the industry and started his channel ‘Friends with Your Benefits.’ He explains, “it is dedicated to empower individuals to give them the tools and resourses they need.”

Join them as they dive deep into point solutions that are designed to meet people where they are and target specific health conditions. John breaks down the major trends he is seeing that resignates with employers, “1) Lifestyle Spending Accounts: this is a new flavor of defined contribution. 2) Unlimited PTO: it’s hot in the marketplace. 3) Muscle & Skeletal: knee, hip and back. 4) Cancer Spend: top driver costs.”
