Welcome to the Quasar Release
Quasars are among the most luminous, powerful, and energetic objects known in the universe, emitting up to a thousand times the energy output of the entire Milky Way. We hope our Quasar product release fills you with new energy to tackle any benefits challenges you might face in 2018.
ACA Updates and Enhancements
While the Affordable Care Act may evolve in the coming years, it still remains the law of the land and its requirements have to be followed. We will continue to update our ACA solution and make it as easy as possible for employers to stay in compliance. Some enhancements in Quasar include:
New Multi-Employer Classification
We added a new classification to the ACA timeline that allows you to better handle reporting for employees covered under the Taft- Hartley Act for multi-employer plan participation.
with New Records
The ACA 1095-C report now includes the option to treat new records as changes, giving you a better overview of what has been updated and added to your files.
For our broker partners, the status of 1095-C forms can be viewed through creation to production, displaying each EIN and applicable form production status separately.
As you know, PlanSource offers a full suite of configurable reports - from employee and dependent census reports to enrollment roster and change reports - that help HR professionals oversee their benefits programs. We are continually enhancing our reports, adding new ones and making it as easy as possible for you to get the information you need. Below are the main report improvements we’ve included in Quasar:
Report Center Home Page Enhancements
We’ve made numerous updates to the report graphs, including quick links to view and download employee census data, and redesigning with a more modern look.
Update to Life Event Report
Our popular Life Event Report now includes a “confirmed” field, that indicates if an employee has navigated through the entire enrollment and clicked confirm to conclude enrollment.
New Benefit Counts Report
A new report has been created to show current coverage counts, including waive/decline selections. The report will display the counts by benefit, plan, and coverage tier.
Payroll Deduction Report Enhancements
Updates to this report include: options to include “New Elections,” the ability to include terminated employees rather than just terminated elections and the ability to include any demographic field.
Cuz’ the docs won’t manage themselves!
Decline plan document requirement
When employees decline coverage, you can now request or require that they provide supporting documentation, such as proof of coverage.
Disable/enable document emails
Document request emails can now be disabled or enabled. You can suppress emails to your entire employee population or disable/enable specific notifications to any employee that has taken a specific action.
Click to Chat Now Available in New User Experience
Feeling chatty? The Click-to-Chat feature has now been added to the new employee experience, which we unveiled in the Andromeda release earlier this year. Available as part of our employee contact center service, Click to Chat is located inside the GuideMe widget when GuideMe is also enabled or as a standalone widget without GuideMe.
