Welcome to the Atlas Release

Atlas is a family of powerful rockets used in the U.S. space program, and in the world cosmology, Atlas is an inner moon of Saturn, orbiting around the outer edge of its rings. Both are named after the Titan of Greek Mythology, who held up the sky on his shoulders. We’ve adopted the Atlas moniker for our summer release as well, but it is no myth that its features and enhancements will fully support your benefits strategy.

Employee Experience Enhancements

Parking and Transit Contributions

The PlanSource system now displays Transit and Parking Contributions as a monthly benefit. This allows employees to see how much their employer contributes and how much they elect to pay themselves each month.

Updated Stacked Coverages*

Stacked Coverages have been updated in the employee experience to display and function optimally for employees and administrators on the Benefits Dashboard, Confirmation and Shopping Cart pages.

Coverage API for Survey Responses

A new class was added to the Coverage Application Programming Interface (API) that enables authorized users to access the employee survey responses without requiring an EDI file.
This can be especially useful for carriers, who need information from a Tobacco Surcharge survey, for example, to complete underwriting.

Rule of Parity Automation*

We’ve added a new Rule of Parity automation that will trigger the creation of a Work Status Event to identify employees that may be subject to the Rule of Parity. When enabled, this will allow you to:

  • Receive notifications when a rehire is classified as a continuing employee and is full-time due to a stability period
  • Offer coverage to rehired employees when applicable

Form Production Enhancement

We’ve added an option that gives HR Teams control to manage the pdf file size for ACA forms. This provides a more manageable file size and reduces download times

New Page Content Manager

Beta available for CoSourced partners and resellers

We are rolling out a page content editor that will allow for resellers and our CoSourced Broker partners to edit page content in our new employee experience using the Content Management System Support. The new tool will allow editors to easily toggle from editing to preview mode, update text, quickly add content blocks using drag-and-drop placement and much more! The tool is in Beta this summer.

The Freedom Plan

MetLife Freedom Plan

PlanSource has teamed up with MetLife to launch the Freedom Plan, an exclusive program that offers unparalleled savings for companies that use PlanSource benefits software and offer MetLife insurance products to their employees. To participate in the program, companies must fulfill certain requirements, including offering their employees a selection of MetLife voluntary and company-provided insurance plans and other services. Once the requirements are met, participating companies will pay no ongoing subscription fees to use PlanSource technology for benefits shopping, enrollment and administration.

New PSA partners

Mutual of Omaha and Voya are now PlanSource Advantage Partners. The PlanSource Advantage (PSA) program is an exclusive, strategic program between select carriers and PlanSource that provides significant value to the broker and employer by offering an affordable online benefits engagement platform. Credits are based on the number of product lines subscribed to from the carrier and the number of enrolled employees from each employer group in each of the products.

New Consumer Call Center System

We have implemented a new customer and consumer contact center that will allow us to deliver a seamless, industry-leading, customer experience across all customer-facing virtual engagement channels. The new system, NICE InContact, enables PlanSource to be significantly more flexible to scale as demand requires, and makes it easier for us to provide the best benefits and HCM experience to employees and HR teams.

We’ve launched a Developer Portal containing technical documentation regarding PlanSource APIs and integrations. Our goal is to make this portal the go-to tech spot for building new integrations and connecting to existing ones.

Documentation is a critical component to integrations, so we are putting it all out there for third parties to easily review what our APIs are capable of and connect to us in a snap!
