What is State Healthcare Reporting?
In December 2017, Congress repealed the federal financial penalties for individuals not having health insurance. Since then, some states have turned to state individual mandates in order to keep their healthcare marketplaces stable. As new state individual mandates are enacted, the level of compliance and complexity for employers increases.

If an employer with 50+ employees has even a single employee filing taxes in one of these states, that employer may need to comply with the state’s individual mandate for reporting healthcare coverage information to the state, in addition to federal IRS filing requirements. Each state can have different reporting definitions, required file formats, filing deadlines and systems/IT infrastructure, making reporting compliance difficult to manage and keep track of.

*Vermont has an individual state mandate in place but currently no employer reporting requirements.

PlanSource’s ACA fulfillment service makes it easy for our ACA clients to print and mail 1095-C forms directly to employees. Our service identifies which of your employees need to receive a 1095-C form, so no manual input is required. You stay compliant, reduce administrative costs, and know the job is done right.

Get in touch with our team using the form below to add ACA Form Fulfillment Services. You must be a current PlanSource federal ACA customer in order to take advantage of this service.

You’ll receive an invoice for the total number of forms we expect to mail on your behalf. Discounted base pricing is $3.00/form if approved before Jan. 22 and an additional $0.75 is applied to forms approved January 22nd and after.

3.

Submit payment for your fulfillment services per the invoice payment terms.

4.

We’ll automatically notify you once your 1094-C and 1095-C forms are ready for review and approval within PlanSource. We cannot move your forms to printing until they have been approved.

5.

Once your approved forms have been received, PlanSource will take it from there! Our ACA team will pull your approved 1094/1095-C forms from the system and print and mail them by the IRS deadline.

6.

We’ll send you an invoice for any additional fees owed, based on the final number of forms printed and their approval date, if applicable.
